Acclaimed and Autism Affirming

Personal and Social Skills development for adults

"The iSocial program was the opposite from all the other neurodiverse programs I've taken. The other programs just talked at me without knowing who I was. The thing is, iSocial caused me to internalize concepts through my active participation. What makes iSocial unique and effective is it hinges upon learning by doing, not doing by learning.

— Sean Mattheau, University of Connecticut

#1 program for clarity, confidence and skills

Proven successful over with years of trials. iSocial is the contracted provider for state and federal social skills and employment workshops.

We use Zoom to match adults into groups of six based on these criteria:

  • Age: Separate groups in ages from 18 through 65+
  • Ability: Groups vary from fundamentals for those struggling with basic speaking to advanced skills for mid-level managers at IBM.
  • Interests: It's an endless list of interest groups from art to zoo animals. Watch a video of three people who didn't interact until they talked about Legos and Battle Star Galactica

"I have landed my 'Dream Job' thanks to your efforts and iSocial!!! Today I will be meeting to negotiate my contract for a Full-Time position!! A position that I have attempted to secure for over 2 years. Thanks to the exercises, class discussions, and social skill refinement, I have become a better version of myself! This class has enabled me to pinpoint areas I needed to address to become a more effective communicator. The iSocial program has been a life-changing experience for me! I have been able to refine my interview skills and update my resume to a slim 1½ pages from a fat 5 pager!! Thanks to this program I was able to embrace the fact that I was not broken, but unique and different!! What a wonderful epiphany for someone like me. I sincerely do not have the words to express my sincere gratitude. I only pray that other clients connected to DARS will be able to gain the benefits of this amazing program."

What Adults Say About iSocial

"Our grandson has learned so much!! I can't recommend it enough. We've seen social skills, self-esteem, job skills, and communication improvement. An added benefit has been the friendship building as well. As I said, it is truly amazing. It flows so naturally even though there is a format and is guided by professionals. It is the best program he has been a part of and he looks forward to the meeting every week."
